I find great joy in helping students expand beyond what they ever thought possible in themselves!

I work both as a teaching artist and private coach. With over 10 years of experience I hold an MFA in Acting from UConn & a BFA in Musical Theatre from Syracuse University.

My students include, professional actors, undergraduate BFA students, teens (college prep) and youth just beginning their creative journey.

Areas of focus include:

  • Audition Technique

  • Monologues, Songs and Sides.

  • Personal Song & Monologue Rep Selection/Coaching

  • Classical Technique, Shakespeare, Period Style & Movement

  • Dialect Work

I use a wide array of physical techniques to help students go deeper into the material. Including being a certified 200/hr Prana Flow Yoga teacher.

My students have worked at Bristol Riverside Theatre, The Media Theatre, Luna Theatre, The Arden, Montgomery Theatre, Connecticut Repertory Theatre, Adirondack Theatre Festival...etc

Testimonals:

I can't recommend Hillary's coaching enough. She's warm and inviting, so you feel comfortable exploring new material and coming up with new approaches to your old stuff. She helped me personally connect with my pieces so that I feel like I'm telling a story in even the shortest audition! -Lauren Cupples, AEA Actor

Hillary's insightful and detailed approach to coaching alleviated my audition anxiety. I now have two amazing pieces that I feel more confident about. I look forward to working on more! -Tamara Anderson, AEA Actor

I had the pleasure of working with Hillary on some monologues and callback sides and I have found her gentle and clear coaching style to be incredibly informative.  She is honest, warm, and she quickly gets you to a place where you can really dig into your characters by asking the right questions, and providing a safe place to make mistakes, explore and ultimately find the right choices.  She's great! -Jessica Gruver, Professional Actor

I just had the most refreshing monologue coaching with Hillary Parker! I feel like I could take on the world right now! Philly friends-- If you are looking for a monologue coach, I HIGHLY recommend Hillary! She's the best! Thanks for all your help! -Megan Rucidlo, AEA Actor

Acting is not a profession of competing with other actors, but rather a vocation of sharing with fellow human beings.”
